How to request and extradition bond

My fiancé and I have been living in TN for over 10 years never been in contact with the law enforcement officials since the other day. They arrested him for not having a driving license and because he had a warrant for extradition in Florida we never knew of any warrant issued in Florida. Now he had to consent to extradition and leave Tn where we have a house and farm I can’t believe that he has to wait for Florida to appear and take him away for something that he has no clue about. But the lawyer who represented him told him that consent was the only way to take cate if this. I have no clue on the laws but how long does a warrant stays open for?
