More details to this question:
I received my first DUI charge last week which I plan to fight with a lawyer. Do I need to retain a lawyer here as well? I need to know what the consequences will be here so that I can mitigate them. I have found no information so far.

Florida court system will not get involved, DMV maybe. Depends if state #1 participates in the Interstate Compact. Definitely fight charge in state 1, speak to local attorney to be prepared in Florida if DMV gets involved.

Whenever you are involved in a court matter, having a skilled lawyer to advise and represent you is a good idea. Most states report their OWI (=DUI) convictions to other states. A few do not. Find a good lawyer.
