I got a DUI, can't make court date, how can I resolve this?

More details to this question:
I was in a town that I'm not from. I got a dui and waiting for court date. Is there any way that I can resolve this infraction without going to the court? I can't make it due to lack of transportation.

You will have to hire an attorney in that area. At some point, you will need to appear in court.

If this is a California case you have three options, you can hire an attorney to appear on your behalf, you can try to change the date by contacting the criminal clerk or prosecution or you can appear. A DUI is a misdemeanor, failure to appear will definitely create significant problems for you in the future.

A lawyer can do this without you present. You are in for the surprise of your life if you think a DUI is only an infraction.

The only way you can resolve this if you can't appear in court is to hire an attorney to represent you.
