I got arrested for weed in TN, but the charges were dropped. Why do employers ask me about it during every interview?

My brother has epilepsy, and the cops found his weed while serving a search warrant for someone who used to live at my address. They found his weed while I was home alone. It got dismissed in court, but at job interviews I still get asked why? Why does this happen if it got dropped and I proven innocent? Thank you.

Just because the charges were dismissed, this does not mean that it was expunged. You need to have the dismissal expunged off of your record.
