My husband is in jail right now for violation of protective order / assault. He ended up pleading guilty because one his so called lawyer who was court appointed never told him when their was an offer on the table i believe he was miss represented and the judge was entirely to harsh he gave him 9 years. His lawyer was court appointed i want and need to get him a good lawyer who isnt predudice and on the courts side. Im on a set income but am willing to give all i have to be sure hes represented farely can u help in any way? My husband is a good man things just got blown out of proportion with drinking.

Many of us work with payment schedules or retainers that we bill against. The problem for your situation appears to be that your husband has accepted a plea bargain. He has only a short time to request a new trial.. You need to get a lawyer immediately if there is to be a chance of changing the sentence (having it reconsidered). You will certainly need a basic retainer to begin with so start interviewing attorneys now.
