I received two stolen packages as an employee

Working as an adminstrative assistant part of my job for this company is to accept packages, inspect the item, and forward them on to the appropriate customer. I received stolen property unknowingly. I received a misademeanor for receiving stolen property. How was I post to know the two items were stolen?

You may very well have not known but that doesn't mean they can't charge you with it. The first step when you are charged with a crime is to contact a local defense attorney and consult. Just because you are charged with a crime does not mean you are convicted. You have hit on one good defense you may have others. Assuming you didn't make any statements to authroities you want to use that defense at the most opportune time. That is why local counsel can assist you.
