If I accidently checked the wrong box on a gun application and now had a possibility to charge with unsworn falsification, what should I do?

More details to this question:
I accidently checked the wrong box on a gun application because I did not understand the question entirely and the man at the gun shop explained it as "have you ever tried to kill someone" so I had checked no but as it turns out it was asking about a protection from abuse order being in place which I did not know. Now 7 months later I am being asked to talk to police about possibly being charged with unsworn falsification to authorities. The initial reason I had even gone into get this back ground check was because my father recently opened a gun manufacturing and ammunition sales store getting his FFL and things like that and I wanted to go into partnership with him but we were not sure if my DUI charge would affect my ability to work for him so I wanted to get a back ground check and I knew a gun store would do it for free so I had a local store do it not knowing I still had a PFA or that it would effect this being as the PFA went into effect nearly 3 years ago and was only held because I could not attend the hearing. The police officer says he wants to talk and try to clear up and let the DA know what was said so what’s next.
