Asked on May 14th, 2014 on Traffic Violations - New Jersey
More details to this question:
My car was booted on 4/23/14 on a scofflaw summons and impounded due to trial request on 4/26/14. The tickets were dismissed on 4/12/14. I want to know if I have to pay to release my car from impound at a towing company when the fictitious tickets were dismissed? If not who do I call or what form must I fill to have the city dismiss the impound fees for the last 17 days waiting for trial?

the towing company will not release your car without payment or an order from tje judge or prosecutor. you should, or your attorney should negotiate with the prosecutor. however, you should do an evaluation of the costs. would it be cheaper to pay the towing company ? ed dimon, esq.
