If I fire my public defender will my case restart?

My trial is 45 days away. I'm not comfortable with my appointed lawyer so if I fire her through the public defender office will that restart it?

No. If the judge approves your request (assuming you are not hiring a lawyer), it will just give you a new lawyer with less time to prepare.
