QUESTION

If I was charged with my second DUI charge, will I be thrown in jail?

Asked on Aug 06th, 2015 on DUI/DWI - California
More details to this question:
About 5 years ago, I was charged with a DUI. At the time, I did not have an attorney help me in court, so Iโ€™m not sure what to expect. This weekend, I received my second DUI after over drinking. I had just found out my fiance left me for someone else. Am I going to be sentenced to jail time because of that?

This sounds like the third iteration of the same question. Wisconsin hasn't changed its minimum mandatory jail time of 5 days for an OWI this afternoon. And while jail time can go up to 6 months, a good lawyer can help you get the best deal, or a good trial.

Call me! In LA it's usually between 4-10 days but you are often out in a weekend & in OC you have to be quick to start qualifying for Ankle Bracelet to avoid jail. In San Bernardino & Riverside county all my 2nd & 3rd DUI clients have been offered alternative sentencing - like work release or ankle bracelet.

Take a look at this chart: http://www.theduispecialist.com/dui_penalties.html You need to hire a DUI specialist, and do it soon because you have only 10 days to save your license.
