If I was convicted with conspiracy to commit bank robbery, why was I not deported?

More details to this question:
I was convicted by a federal Jury of conspiracy to commit bank robbery and still was not deported. I filed for the direct appeal and still lost. My parents are American citizens and I am a Permanent Resident. I want to know why immigration didn't deport me.
