QUESTION

I'm so confused....

More details to this question:
My brother was arrested for burglary of unoccupied dwelling, and grand theft of $20,000 but less then $100,000 in December of 2020. He was bonded out same night. So far there's been no action on the burglary (he has his own business with accesses to MULTIPLE residences, but he doesn't work for property management,or realtor, only the sole owner.) How can he be charged with burglary if he has access? Obviously the property manager has no idea what's going on in the neighborhood. As for the grand theft, the report doesn't state whether or not anything was stolen, let alone what the item/items were exactly. (FYI: all the residences in the neighborhood are all vacation rentals)

How is anyone supposed to know without knowing the version of the prosecution?   There is no theft necessary for a burglary. Suppose a person illegally enters a structure and does not find anything to steal or is spooked off before stealing anything, it is still aburglary.   Your brother needs a lawyer
