QUESTION

Is going pro se in a criminal case a good idea?

More details to this question:
So I just got off the phone with my ex lawyer" ex because of money issues" and now I'm lost. I'm being accused of sex with a child under 13. The case seems mostly like a no brainer to me-of course but wondering if I go pro se will that automatically put to odds against me? I have the parents on my side; there is my wife and another adult whom was present the night they claim this happened and facts from the girl don't line up? Just seems to easy. Do I have horse blinders on? I know there's "facts from there side, but they are easy to dishonor.

NO! You absolutely must have a lawyer. Although there is the "presumption of innocence" in law, it is not in reality. You cannot speak for yourself. You need a VERY experienced lawyer representing you.

Absolutely not! That is the worst idea. You have a very serious crime charged against you. What is your life worth to you? Do whatever to retain counsel and save your life.
