I was arrested and released on an unsecured bond for larceny by employee in North Carolina. I want to know if this charge is a felony or a misdemeanor. The amount of property taken comes to $119 and it is my first offense.

Larceny by employee is a felony under N.C.Gen.Stat. Section 14-74. Since the amount taken was under $100,000, it would be a class H felony.
