My son walked into a police station for help with our car. The policeman came out to see what he needed help on the car. The officer then asked my son to do some test. The officer said that he didn’t pass so he put him under arrest and was taken to a hospital for blood work which my son agreed to. What my son did not agree to was when the cop took the blood from the hospital back to police headquarters and had it sent out the next day to their own private laboratory.
It sounds like your son will be arrested for DUI. Most likely the officer is trained in DUI arrests and followed procedure. If you believe your son's blood test will be negative, hire a lawyer to petition the court to have your son's blood tested by an independent lab. You will need a lawyer to do this. Before you spend a lot of money, sit down with your son and ask him to be truthful with you.
