More details to this question:
i was pulled over and searched because i smelled like marijuana. i am a minor. the police officer that detained me searched my car, i gave consent, and found paraphernalia. the officer then asked me to unlock my phone so he may call my mom, i unlocked my phone and the officer proceeded to go through my recent texts and calls. after the report was filed and my parents arrived the officer then took a picture of me using his phone and said it was for "personal" reasons. please help,
In short, maybe. Some parts of what he did were not in violation of your rights, but other parts seem strange. Either way, your parents would have to act on your behalf because you are a minor. You might have a civil action and as such need to consult a civil litigation attorney. They might consider filing an "Internal Affairs" complaint as well.
