my gf recent under the influence took someone else debit card and made a purchase under 10 dollars. shes already filled out a statement of her side and is now waiting to be contacted with further action. im worried she will spend months maybe even years behind bars.

It is most likely a misdemeanor puinishable by not more that 30 days and/or $1000. She could also request PTI.
