Is my husband looking at any jail time

My husband and I have been living separate due to my job my husband would come see our children and me randomly. The police show up at my house and arrested him for possession of a firearm and violation of the sex offender register. He has a different address and was only at my house that day . The police came to my house on a call for gun shots in the area they saw my gun a came back with a warrant but I'm a licenced hand gun permit owner due to my job but my husband is a felon .
