While on vacation this summer, I made a grave mistake. I was arrested and convicted of DUI in Minnesota. I am a Texas resident and hold a Texas Concealed Handgun License (CHL). I understand that I cannot renew my Texas CHL for five years after my conviction. My current Texas CHL license has nearly four years remaining on it. Is it automatically revoked/suspended? If I do not receive a notification of suspension, am I allowed to continue with concealed carry until I receive an official notification of revocation? I hesitate to call Texas Department of Public Safety for answers to this question, as I do not want to draw attention to myself. All the content I can find on the internet pertains to applying/re-applying for CHL with history of DUI in last five years, but nothing about what happens if you already hold a CHL and are convicted of an out of state DUI. Thank you for your assistance.
