QUESTION

Is there a way to serve my probation out of state?

Asked on Oct 20th, 2015 on Criminal Law - Michigan
More details to this question:
I have a court date on November 12th in another state. The letter said I would be given the option of voluntary probation. I work steadily in my state where I'm a resident and am doing well at my job. What would increase my chances of being allowed to serve my probation here? What documents/references could I bring?

Get a local court to agree to monitor your probation locally & report to other state's court. Or ask if you can report to other state probation by letter, phone or email.
