Is there any help she can turn to or information I can give her to get this reduced?

More details to this question:
I have a friend in a county jail. Last September, she started using meth, walked out on her family, 5 kids of her own and 5 adopted and a husband. Months later, it was heroin. She became an IV drug user and now is facing 86 months on a first offence. She is a good person and the last 10 months has devastated a lot of her friends and family. She is so scared. I don’t want her to go to prison for such a long time for she isn’t a repeat offender. She was just an addict lost and needs treatment. She's never done treatment.
Lawyer. She needs a good lawyer. That's the best advice I can give you. There's such a thing called a dispositional departure. If the prosecutor and the judge go along with it, it would be an arrangement that includes probation and treatment instead of prison. Sounds like this is a 1st degree controlled substance crime, so it will be an up hill battle.
