More details to this question:
I was previously arrested for possession of a controlled substance and bonded out. Since then the local police have been stopping me every night searching me and questioning me walking from my friendโs house.
You cannot stop the officer. If it is every day you can complain to Internal Affairs, but that may be useless. What you can do is not to have contraband on you.
Yes, you can sue the department for harassment you should have evidence of this from sources other than just you - this can include your cell phone be polite, but do not consent keep your hands visible get the officers names each time ask why they are stopping you tell them politely that you do not want to talk with them that you do not want to be searched that you just want to be on your way DO NOT SAY YOU ARE GOING TO SUE THEM if you are consenting to these stops and searches, then you have no case.
