QUESTION

Is this black mail?

Asked on Jan 09th, 2021 on Criminal Law - Florida
More details to this question:
I am in an open relationship, wherein my husband has a girlfriend. Basically I felt the agreement we had was broken and I went to her house while he was there to speak to him. She is claiming now that she has proof of me breaking/entering and trespassing as well as assault (claims I pushed her). It’s been several days and she hasn’t filed ( the police were not called the night of) she is making demands of us otherwise she will file to press charges. Is this black mail? This would also be my first offense, and I feel that the judge may see this as a domestic dispute, due to the circumstances and that I did not assault her. She grabbed me and I waved my arm to get her hands off me. I also did leave the property and didn’t have to be removed.

I never understand why people confont the paramour of the partner instead of the partner.   It is the partner who violated the relationship   I often see these cheating shows where the "victim" attacks the paramour when the victim had the gripe with the paramour
