My boyfriend quit reporting after a couple of years of being on parole, he is 2 years past the time he would've been off parole if he would have continued to report. He was recently arrested on a unauthorized use of a vehicle that he bought from an individual. It came back stolen and was put in jail..I bonded him out but was showing a parole hold. I got in contact with the parole officer and he wanted information where he would be living once he was released. I looked him up and the hold was gone and was told by the bondsman that he was in the process of being released. And then 2 new charges came up for assault with a deadly weapon And possession of a firearm by a felon. And I bonded him out on those charges as well. But he has not been released yet. My question is, could he be sent back to prison? Also, what are the possibilities for the assault because the other person tried to run him over and it's on video of that happening. I know he shouldn't be in possession of a firearm.
There could be a pending motion to revoke parole. If there are pending criminal charges, that os very likely the case. The parole board will wait until thr new cases resolve to make a decision on the motion to revoke parole. He could be sentenced to time in prison on the new cases, or, if his parole is revoked. He should hire an attorney to represent him on both the cases and the revocation if he has the means to. Felony cases can be won, and parole can be reinstated, in many circumstances.
