QUESTION

Negligent discharge of firearm

Asked on Jul 26th, 2020 on Criminal Law - Florida
More details to this question:
Good afternoon. Last Friday, I accidentally fired my gun while cleaning. It went through my condo wall into the adjacent unit. Luckily, nobody was injured. The police came and did not arrest me or take any of my firearms. I received a notice to appear as TBD (assume due to COVID) but have not been charged with anything. I would like to get some advice as to what I'm looking at or what I need to do. Thanks.

A notice to appear in Florida is tanatamount to an arrest. You are lucky you were not formally arrested or you would have gone into jail and have to bond out
