QUESTION

On county parole and might have caught a new charge

Asked on Nov 13th, 2015 on Criminal Law - Pennsylvania
More details to this question:
I had a argument with my daughters mom. She filed a pfa against me. Ok but in the pfa she stated that i threatened to kill her. This i s not true..at least i dont think. She said i should go jump off a cliff..i in return said sarcastically and stupidly "if i ever jump off a cliff im bringing u with me baby. It was just the heat of the moment joke. The officer isnt sure what to charge me with cuz she filed a report. She said most likely harassment. My main question and concern...i am currently already on county parole. I stil have 6 months left on my sentence. One of my prior charges was also harassment but was dropped and thats why im on parole. If the da decides to charge me again what can i get time wise because my old charge and am i likely to get revoked for the police contact and new charge. How can i fight this? What are my options if any...also if i go back to jail will it be for the remainder of my time or start over? I have a full time job and two year old child full time.

It hinges heavily on what kind of arrangement can be worked out with your PO and the DA. Worst case scenario--you can be remanded to jail for the remainder of your probation.
