QUESTION
Oregon and new jersey..not sure what can be done
Asked on Oct 05th, 2015 on Criminal Law - New Jersey
More details to this question:
I have a public defender in nj for my PTI case but I am currently in Oregon at a treatment facility. I cannot get in touch with my public defender which is making everything that much harder. I had a court while here and couldn't attend but I had the paperwork they asked for sent to the judge and the PTI officer and the public defender. She never showed up so I was violated and reassigned public defenders. I spoke with my fathers lawyer he said it was unresolved bullshit and for $7500 he could do what needs to be done but doesn't want to take our money if I have a public defender who can do it. I don't know what else I can do, or who else I can contact.

You and your family must make a writtten record of your treatment in Oregon. Your Dad can make an appearance in court on your behalf and explain your situation. This should be done on the record with the written reports from the treatment facility. This will address the situation. If Dad not comfortable, we can help. Ed Dimon 732-797-1600
