I was on felony probation in Florida and was given a drug test for opiates which I failed because I have a legal prescription for morphine. My probation officer knew this but violated me anyways. I freaked out and left the country. Soon after a probation violation was filed and a warrant was put out for my arrest. The warrant was then recalled to be amended and another probation violation for absconding was to be added. The warrant never was refiled, and this was over two years ago. My probation term ended about 5 months ago, and as of right now I've even briefly talked to a lawyer, there is no warrant for my arrest. The lawyer advised me to lay low for a few more years until the statue of limitations on when the warrant can be filed expires, then a motion of dissmisal should be filed. My question is, since there is no warrant if I re-enter the country in another state (michigan), will immigration be able to detain me and see I was on probation? Or will I be okay re-entering.
