Should have accepted a plea deal of a lesser charge?

He was charged with 3 counts of false imprisonment (pulled up behind someones car) and 1 count of stalking. Him and his ex girlfriend attending the same concert and had to travel the same roads. She claims he followed her. He claims he is innocent and has texts to prove he was coerced to come talk to them at the end of the night where he did pull up behind their car in a walmart parking lot. He did have court where he turned down a plea deal of 1 count of harassment. Says he did nothing wrong and was falsely arrested.
