I was wondering if I should get an attorney for a first offense misdemenor marijuana charge? I was not arrested or cited, the officers confiscated it took my name then I was served with a summons 3 wks later. please let me know if getting a lawyer and spending the money will be better than pleading guilty and taking my chances. thank you Jeremy

If you are convicted of possession, your driver's license will be suspended, plus you will have a conviction on your record. You should at least consult with an attorney to discuss your options.
