Should I go the to police station if they call me to come in?

More details to this question:
I had a verbal confrontation in traffic last month with a gentleman. He initially cut me off and a blew my horn at him. His reaction was to go slow. I then sped around him and we came to a red light. He got out of his car to approach my vehicle so I got out. We exchanged words but there was no physical altercation. I got back in my car and he chased me for about 6 miles. I eventually lost him. A month later I am now receiving calls from the police station asking me to come in to discuss the traffic altercation. Is it advisable for me to do so being that I did nothing wrong? What will happen if I don't go? Do I have to eventually go down there and take a lawyer? Or can I continue to ignore thier request being that I am not under arrest? Thank you
