More details to this question:
In 2020 or 2021 I attempted to purchase a firearm at a gun store and applied for my gun license at that time. I filled out a questionnaire and was advised I was denied but no explanation could be givin. Moving forward I was contacted by a detective who requested a conversation with me about a warrant I had. I met and had a conversation with the detective who advised I have been charged with a f3 charge for falsifying a written law enforcement statement. On the application I was asked if I’d ever been charged of a crime that could’ve served a year or more in jail and at the time I answered no to my best knowledge. Now I am to turn myself in to the magistrate and I am going to back track in life due to something 3 years ago. Should I turn myself in? Do I need a lawyer?

You absolutely need a lawyer who we should hire in advance to turn yourself in. I have personally handled these cases. Good results are available if again, you hire a lawyer, who can turn you in so that you avoid jail time on the warrant.
