Should my wife talk to prosecutors

More details to this question:
My wife called me in on domestic violence and told the cops that I tried to run her off the road the cops came to me and I told them my story that she just hit my car while it was Parke he arrested me and I was charged with assault and went to jail and a restraining order on me I tried to explain to the officer that because of my wife’s medical condition she’s not thinking in her right mind and now of course my wife is sorry and wants to go till whoever that she probably was not in her right mind but I don’t want her to get in trouble what do I do

You need to be very careful how you handle this. If there is still a restraining order on you (likely a Jail Release Agreement) you cannot talk to her. You can and will be charged with additional charges if you do. You also cannot have someone else speak to her. You need to contact an attorney to discuss your case. These cases can become very serious very quickly.
