Should we retain an attorney?

More details to this question:
An adult hit my 20 year old son in the face at a motocross race. The adult was the parent of a racer and he was upset at my son for cutting his son off during the race. Police were contacted. Adult said he hit my son, charges were filed, adult arrested. Do we need an attorney?

   Please contact your local state's attorney's office. When charges are pressed against an individual, it is the People of the State of Illinois v. that individual.
