You are in a difficult position. The people who owned the jewelry can go to the police and have you arrested. How did the parties agree on the value of $20,000 ? Why did you sell the jewelry for $500 ? You need a written agreement with the owners and a payment plan. Please call to discuss. Ed Dimon, Esq. 732-797-1600
