QUESTION

ticket for not yielding a police car in time

Asked on Sep 07th, 2014 on Traffic Violations - New Jersey
More details to this question:
it's June,20, 2014. I was driving on left lane and didn't notice a police car was behind me until it started flashing. I was given two tickets, one was a warning. However I didn't realize that because both were printed together. I thought it was a warning even though I did notice there is a fee on it. As a result, I didn't do anything. Now I got a "failure to appear" notice from court. I am now wondering if it's worthy fighting over this ticket - do I have any ground to defend myself. Besides I think $185 is too much in this case, it says on the ticket "Traffic on marked lanes - nearest right lane", i don't know exactly what it means. Thanks all for your kind answers, Hai

you must address the 'failure to appear' which is separate and distinct from the ticket. you can work this out with the court or we can help you. you do not want a 'contempt of court; citation which is $1000. you can then address the ticket or we can help you. our fee for both would ne $2500. ed dimon, esq. 732-797-1600
