More details to this question:
So my frind is being charged with murder and weapon charges. He got the discovery and they have stetements in there that I think they twisted the words. Can he get convicted on statements or do they need evidence also?

The statements alone are not sufficient. The witnesses must testify in person. The jury decides if the the witnesses are telling the truth. Ed Dimon, Esq
