I currently have a warrant out for my arrest for theft items that were mistakenly packed by my mover while I was moving out of an appt that I shared with my ex. I was contacted about the items by a police officer. I made arrangements to have the items returned to my ex by a family member. The family member infringed my ex that the items were in her possession and that she wanted to set up a time to have them dropped off to him.that appointment was never set up and the item are out of my possession and still currently in the possessions of my family member. My ex never dropped the charges against me and now I have a warrant out for my arrest. I have since contacted him to resolved the issue and he refuses because of money that he alleges I owe him.I'm wondering what is a course of action I can take to resolve this issue with have to have anything put on my record because I have committed no crime.
The answer is you need an attorney in your county or nearby to help you. He can make the contacts necessary for you.You will need to make a bond before the charges can be dealt with. Unfortunately there is no easy way to deal with false accusations once the State has picked up the charge.
