QUESTION

What am I possibly facing

Asked on Jan 16th, 2013 on Drug Crimes - Illinois
More details to this question:
In the State of Illinois I have been given a complaint notice for "possession of a scale with residue, with intent to weigh cannabis". Not with the intent to sell. My friend took the charge of the scale, however we both had involvement in weighing marijuana when bought so I said I will take half of that. The scale was not in our possession when it was found in a dorm room. It was more so a communal scale where when people bought from dealers on campus they would weigh out so they didn't get ripped off. We however took the fault as stated earlier, because there was no reason to get others involved. Anyway we have a complaint to go to court. I think we both are in the case together. Subsequently my car was searched a few days later due to the scale. I received another complaint notice that I knowingly had in possession less than 2.5 grams of a substance containing cannabis. All that was found was a bottle with a few stems. Also there are text message conversations someone have to cops.
