Asked on Mar 17th, 2014 on Criminal Law - Florida
More details to this question:
I was convicted in Bronx, NY for Attempted Murder in 2000. I did 5 1/2 years and paroled to Florida for supervision for 2 1/2 years. I got discharged from parole May 2006 and never got in trouble again. I received my associates degree in computer repair and I am having issues getting steady employment due to the felony.

Florida law allows a person to seal or expunge one arrest from their record under certain conditions and qualifications. The seminal requirement for any sealing / expungement is the requirement that an individual not have a conviction on their record. Unfortunately you would not be eligible to seal a Florida arrest. Since your circumstance originated in New York, you should contact a lawyer licensed in that state to determine any potential options there Jacksonville Criminal Lawyer - James Davis
