QUESTION

What can I do after being sentenced to jail?

Asked on Sep 16th, 2015 on Criminal Law - Michigan
More details to this question:
My attorney didn't explain my sentence. Upon leaving the court room he stated, you know you're going to jail, right? He never said any such thing before. What he said was 6 months suspended after 3 years. I had no idea what this meant, and he never explained it. Do I have any recourse? This was a deal I agreed to, but feel as though I was misled. Can I get the case reopened, or isn't it in my best interest. Also, if I do the 6 months, how much actual time will I do? Thank you for your anticipated response to this matter. I greatly appreciate it.
