QUESTION
What can I do if I had a probation violation?
Asked on Jan 21st, 2014 on Criminal Law - Illinois
More details to this question:
I skipped out on my probation 20 years ago because my ex lied and said I hit her and never did. (I have witnesses to back that up) I stayed with her and went to Chicago. Came back down here but the funny thing is that I've had my name ran several times and I have no warrants but when I called the police station just for random thought. They told me I have 2 warrants what can I do and what should I do I've had my name ran in like 5 states even in the state I was on probation in and nothing came up! Am I in a crack in the legal system or am I just floating around in some weird limbo.

You need to take action to get this matter resolved, because if you don't eventually it's going to turn into a big problem for you. A skilled criminal defense attorney would need to discuss this matter with you in greater detail, & ask you many questions, in order to give you the complete, proper legal advice you need, & a quote to represent you. Schedule a consultation ASAP. Once the matter has been resolved to your satisfaction (hopefully), you'll be glad you paid the money to hire an experienced attorney & properly protect your legal rights.
