More details to this question:
With no priors what kind of sentencing can I expect? Identity Theft 1st, Identity Theft 2nd, Trafficking in stolen goods 1st. I was given the impression that I might get off with no record after the victim dropped charges. Now blindsided by summons and arraignment for 3 felony charges. How likely is jail time? I was served 4 days before arraignment. I expect I'll have to ask for a continuance just to have time to find a lawyer.
The investigation produced enough evidence to proceed with prosecution without the victim's wishes. Not knowing all of the facts, you could get 5 years in jail.
