More details to this question:
I was married to an abusive alcoholic, after abuse and threats I told him that I was leaving unless he agreed to counseling and he eventually agreed. I called his place of employment who offers treatment, talked to someone, being told that our conversation would be confidential. Immediately after our conversation he called the police and a spot investigation was done finding drugs and alcohol on the property. My ex was livid. He got drunk and came home and threatened me, pointing to my face that he would get even with me. I had gone back to care for my critically ill mother. I was served divorce papers. When I went back for the hearing, I was arrested for molesting my ex's girlfriend two children. My brother hired a shady attorney. I wasn't permitted to have any say in the legal decision. It was between my brother and attorney. They told me that I would take a plea. They wouldn't let me have any witnesses who could verify my innocence. I was charged and incarcerated. No one would help me or listen to me. My attorney stated that he wished he had never met me. I now have a witness who can testify that my ex has been bragging that he set me up. I would never do this horrible charges. I was a single mother and I adopted a girl when she was 1 ยฝ. I raised my son. I have a degree in child counseling. My ex was so happy also to have ruined my carrier. At the time, he made these lies. I was employed at a parochial school managing the nursesโ clinic. Due to the stress from this, my health is failing. The mother of these children HSS been arrested for drugs, child abuse, prostitution.
It really sounds like an awful situation. I hate to tell you what you already know, but you need a good attorney to investigate whether you can get back into court on an after discovered evidence claim.
