What can I do if state wardens are making slanderous remarks about me?

More details to this question:
Several game wardens from CT have continuously harassed and made slanderous statements to hundreds of people, affecting my business, my children's schooling and my family. The harassment dates back to discord one warden has with my wife over her affiliation with black students and his affiliation with a group of self-described KKK members. The issue has become quite serious because he and his sergeant called wardens in MT, where I spend the winters hunting, and told them I am a known violator and listed a slew of offenses that I commit. I have not been ticketed for any of the things they noted. Aren't I innocent until they charge me with something? Aren't they ethically bound to tell the truth and afford me the right to be presumed innocent until they have some shred of evidence? Can they tell these wardens in MT I am known for crimes I don't even commit? The only time I have ever had a ticket from them, it was for not having switched my driver's license over when I moved so they issued a residency discrepancy ticket after trying instigate a fight by telling me that I beat my wife and then laughing. They are committing serious character assassination and they have no grounds. I'm furious and fed up with the slander. Furthermore, I have tons of proof that they violate their own ethics code in myriad ways and that they regularly slander both me and my family. They make sport of lying and smearing my good name. Is this criminal or civil and how should I sue them for violating my rights?
