What can now happen after I was involved in a struggle with my girlfriend’s 14 year old daughter?

More details to this question:
She started slapping, kicking and pulling my hair. I managed to restrain her and we fell to the ground. At this time, she then bit me twice. She finally quit. I let her up and she ran to her room. Her mom came home. I told her what had happened. We agreed that I would leave for a couple of days. I had talk to their mom several times. Next thing I know the police are calling me telling me that they want to talk to me. By this time, I had gone out of state to visit family. The cops said they would issue a warrant if I do not come back in twenty four hours. I feel like they are bullying me into this.
I would consult a criminal defense attorney before saying anything to the police. It is unknown what the police are looking into, but talking to them will not help you. You have to assume that school and/or mother believe the child?s version over yours. A teen may lie about anything. She may be accusing you of a sex crime. Say nothing to police without a lawyer.
