QUESTION

What does "dismissed and held for naught" mean?

Asked on Nov 28th, 2013 on DUI/DWI - Wyoming
More details to this question:
I had a DUI deferment and I met all of the conditions of my deferal and served my 12 months probation without any violations. Because I did this my court papers say that the charge will be dismissed and held for naught. I am just wondering what exactly this means.

I havent seen that language in my state but my guess is it means the case is dismissed, for naught, means for no reason, something like that.
