What does vacation of conviction mean and does this apply to me?

More details to this question:
I was convicted of a class 4 felony in 2006. I have served my time and complied with the courts. I want to reinstate my civil rights and I want to get my record expunged. I am having difficulties with understanding the paper work to file. I have been working hard in getting my children back as well as holding a job and attending college.

In Michigan, whether you are eligible for an Expungement is highly dependent on the particular crime you are trying to expunge, as well as your lifetime criminal history. If the 2006 Felony is your only criminal conviction of any kind, and it is not specifically excluded by the applicable Expungement statute (MCL 780.621), then you are likely eligible.
