if someone files a police report against me, and in that report, refers to me as 'friend', and the whole reason they filed the report is because they had never been a friend and I got sick of them contacting me and lying to me and I flipped out on them, did that individual make a false statement to police? what if outside of the reports they are saying something completely different, as to basically I was never a friend either, is this not a problem now when it comes to said police reports against me? can I be refused statements to police by them, and can they threaten to arrest me if I try filing a complaint against someone after they already filed a complaint against me or if I want to file a complaint against that individual's friends since they were involved?
The police will rarely take a statement from a defendant in the same case. Your remedy is appropriate is to sue after you are cleared of the charges. It makes no difference if the compliant is a former friend or enemy.
