My son, age 29, was arrested for a DUI 18 months ago. He was good about going to DUI classes, taking his UA's, & going to probation meetings. However, he hasn't done anything for about the last 6 months. He received an email that he has an active warrant for his arrest. What happens now?
Well, he has to clear up the warrant. It would be good if he could get back into compliance too. Some judges give a day of jail for each hour of community service he has not done. Results depend on the judge and jurisdiction, but usually, they just want you to complete your classes, do community service and stay out of trouble. They may add some community service or a few days in jail if he is otherwise complete by sentencing.
